For web site requests, please email to info@cassasoccer.com News Nov 1, 2007 - Here's a note from Coach Coons and a video to his team The CASSA U10 girls, well let’s just say they really ROCK! We had a great first fall season playing together. There were so many positive moments and great plays throughout the year. These girls worked extremely hard from the first conditioning drills in mid-August to some of the cold rainy games in late October. We played up one division (Yellow) this year, so the competition was really tough right from the start. Over the course of the season, our focus on ball control, marking opposing players, attacking, defending, and communication continually improved week after week. Their focus on playing as a team, building trust in one another, and improving their own soccer talents was so much fun to watch. We continually improved as a team and by midway through the fall season, our goals against decreased dramatically, while our goals for began to increase. We even had one of the CATS coaches comment a few weeks ago as to how impressed he was with our progress since playing us in the MILD Cup back in August. The U10 girls should feel very proud of themselves, and when the spring comes, watch out, these girls will be on fire! Like I said these girls ROCK! Click on the window below to start the movie. Get the Flash Player to see this player. October 28, 2007 The CASSA U-12 girls finished the season with a record of 7-1 which gave them a first place finish in GVSA. They had a 7 game winning streak until the very last game. Coached by Megan Pyne, the girls demonstrated their talents and strengths throughout the season and had very few goals scored on them. Great season girls! GO RED!
Here are some pictures of the girls CASSA U12 float they decorated for the Red Flannel Festival. September 20, 2007 CASSA teams start the season strong! Games have begun, and Boomer Park is once again crowded with players and fans. Our Tri-Hawk teams are off to a good start, with many wins in the first two games. The U-14 Girls, coached by Greg Dreyer are undefeated thus far. Please email us your wins/losses, scores, and pictures, so that we can post them here. In other news, the CASSA sweatshirts are in, and they look terrific! If you would like to show your team spirit and order one, please contact Sara Schoen at 696-1129 or email her at saraschoen5@aol.com. They make great Christmas gifts! June 29, 2007 Congratulations to our new CASSA players! Try-outs are over and the new team rosters have been posted! Our coaches saw a lot of great talent on the field, and they are excited to take on the next season. Please see our "Teams" page for complete rosters for the 2007-2008 CASSA season. June 7, 2007 CASSA TRI-HAWKS TAKE ON TRAVERSE CITY'S CHERRY FESTIVAL CUP! To many, Memorial Day weekend means barbecues, camping, and hanging out with friends and family. To most CASSA players, it means all of that and SOCCER! Four teams traveled to Traverse City over Memorial Day weekend, to take part in what has become an annual event. The teams and their families stayed at the same hotels or camped. They spent their days at the soccer field, but their evenings hanging out at the pool with their friends and grilling out in the hotel courtyard. The soccer was great, but to many, the best part of the trip was bonding with their teammates, who after many years of playing together, have become one big family.
